☁️ The Cloud Commandments: 10 Rules for Living Life IndaCloud

With one month left before my two-year mark at Indacloud, I figured it was time to share some truths I’ve learned from working in the cloud… literally and creatively.

Not just about cannabis, but about how to use it as a tool for productivity, not a ticket to the couch.

Too often, people assume cannabis equals chaos, but what I’ve learned is this:

weed doesn’t make you lazy… disconnection does.

If you’ve ever wanted to find your flow while still enjoying your favorite flower, this one’s for you.

So, here it is, my Ten Cloud Commandments.

Written from experience, typed between bong breaks, and fueled by just enough caffeine to be dangerous.

1. Thou Shalt Not Confuse High With Hazy

There’s a difference between being lifted and being lost.

Being “high” isn’t an excuse… it’s a lens.

Find your sweet spot, that level where your thoughts flow instead of scatter.

For me, that’s one small hit before my creative block session, not an entire joint before analytics reports.

Pro tip: write “find your focus zone” somewhere you’ll see it often. The right high enhances your flow, not your distractions.

2. Thou Shalt Set Intentions Before Inhalations

A hit without a purpose is just a puff.

Before you light up, ask yourself what kind of energy you need today:

focus, flow, or feel-good rest?

Cannabis is a tool and it responds to direction.

Saying your goal out loud before you consume creates a mental link between action and intention.

It’s not a ritual, friends, it’s a reminder.

3. Thou Shalt Respect the Routine

Even the most creative clouds need a weather pattern. Routine is what keeps the magic grounded.

My day usually starts with a coffee, a 10-minute journal dump, and then my first micro-dose of creative fuel (a gummy or one pull from the penjamin ).

Find a rhythm that supports your brain and your blunt.

Consistency builds clarity, even when your workflow feels like a thunderstorm.

4. Thou Shalt Microdose the Motivation

You don’t need to be blasted to be brilliant. A little goes a long way when it comes to productivity highs.

Whether it’s a small edible, a low-temp vape hit, or a single bowl between tasks, moderation is the magic word.

Too much, and suddenly your spreadsheet starts looking like abstract art.

Stay light enough to float, but not so high you drift.

5. Thou Shalt Keep Snacks Strategic

Let’s face it: munchies are a feature, not a flaw.

But if you want to stay productive, choose snacks that fuel your focus.

Keep nuts, fruit, or granola nearby instead of the entire pantry.
(Trust me, eating an entire box of cereal mid-email is never a good look.)

Save the indulgent snacks for your post-grind sesh. Let hunger motivate you to finish.

6. Thou Shalt Create, Then Critique

Your high brain is your visionary / your sober brain is your editor.

Don’t expect both to coexist peacefully at once.

When you’re high, let the creativity pour out… no judgment, no editing, no second-guessing. The next morning? That’s when you trim, polish, and shape it.

It’s like trimming flower… don’t cut too soon, or you’ll lose the good stuff.

7. Thou Shalt Not Compare Clouds

Comparison is the thief of chill.

Everyone’s tolerance, pace, and process are different.

Your productive high might hit after one puff… someone else’s might need an edible and a lo-fi playlist.

Your cloud is yours alone… protect it from expectations.

8. Thou Shalt Ground Before You Float

Cannabis amplifies what’s already there. If your mind is cluttered, your high will be too.

Before you smoke, stretch, hydrate, or take three deep breaths.

This one habit can change the entire tone of your session.

Grounded energy = creative energy.

9. Thou Shalt Rest Without Guilt

Burnout is not a badge of honor.

Taking a nap or logging off early isn’t laziness… it’s emotional maintenance.

Cannabis helps me disconnect without guilt, and that’s key to sustainability.

Remember: clouds don’t burn 24/7. They drift, they pause, they reform. You should too.

10. Thou Shalt Always Remember Why You Started

It’s not about escaping… it’s about connecting.

To yourself, your creativity, your people, and your peace.

Cannabis can’t fix your life, but it can enhance it if you meet it halfway.

When you approach every sesh with gratitude instead of guilt, your productivity stops being a performance… and starts being a practice.

☁️ Behind the Clouds

Two years ago, I thought cannabis was something that fueled my downtime.

Now, I realize it fuels my drive time.

It’s the spark that gets me brainstorming, the calm that keeps me balanced, and the inspiration that makes me love what I do. It’s not about using cannabis to escape work… it’s about using it to elevate how you show up for it.

So, if you’re looking to build your own “Cloud Commandments,” start with awareness. Observe what works for you. Reflect. Adjust. Laugh when it doesn’t go to plan. Try again anyway.

Because cannabis and creativity share the same core rule: show up with intention, and magic happens.
